Our Nepal earthquake appeal is the most successful by any UK-based Nepali charity to help the relief effort. The £100,000 raised was split into immediate and longer term aid.
In the aftermath of the earthquakes, we paid for emergency supplies, survival kits and shelters in remote villages. Supplies were sourced for hospitals and medical centres, and selected micro-charities operating in the country were also supported. As part of our longer term aims, funding was also given to help rebuild and support schools.
We are now in discussions to decide on how to use the fund to give the greatest benefit to the people of Nepal.
